| 概要 | In Japan, descriptive statistics became a required topic in the standard curriculum of high school mathematics in 2012, and hypothesis testing as part of inferential statistics is going to be added as a required topic in 2022. In this study, we designed and examined a teaching practice in which students simulate data sampling multiple times and experience sampling variance before receiving any formal instruction in confidence interval. The results indicate that there was a significant difference in the level of understanding of confidence intervals between the classes that performed the simulations and those that did not. |
