| 概要 | The purpose of this study is to clarify the encouraging factors for sports participation through an interview survey of 50 athletes with disabilities.
A semi-structured interview survey was conducted with 50 athletes with disabilities regarding the requirements for starting and continuing sports after the onset of a disability. The 50 participants were 37 men and 13 women, with an average age of 40.4 years at the time of the interview. These interviews revealed seven factors common to the 50 participants regarding sports participation are identified including positive attitude toward sports before starting para-sports, obtaining information relating to para-sports , ensuring first access to sports venue, and so on. |
